Mallory Agency Welcomes Meredith Hughes as Vice President of National Accounts

Seasoned Insurance Expert Brings Strategic Vision and Client-Focused Approach

ATLANTA (March 26, 2024) - Mallory Agency, a best-in-class, privately-held insurance broker with a national reach and strong roots in Georgia, announced today that Meredith Hughes has been hired as Vice President of National Accounts and will be working out of the Atlanta office. With over a decade of experience in the insurance industry, Hughes brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role, where she will focus on expanding the agency's national footprint and enhancing client relationships.

Before joining Mallory Agency, Hughes was a Senior Client Executive at Rhodes Risk Advisors, a regional independent agency specializing in restaurant, hospitality, and real estate clients.  She worked with large national clients and communicated directly with C-suite executives on risk management issues.

Hughes's decision to join Mallory Agency was driven by her passion for the independent agency system and her desire to work closely with strong leadership. As District 6 Director for the Independent Agents of Georgia Board of Directors, Hughes understands the importance of fostering close relationships with colleagues and leadership.

“Hughes will focus on growing existing national accounts in her new role, while exploring opportunities to expand into new areas, particularly in real estate,” states Matt Mallory, CEO of Mallory Agency. “Her ability to quickly assess client needs and provide efficient solutions will benefit our clients, ensuring they receive the highest service and expertise.”

Restaurant Safety Month
By Mallory Agency 29 Jun, 2022
ATLANTA (June 29, 2022) – As National Safety Month draws to a close, Mallory Agency, the best-in-class, privately-held insurance broker in Georgia and beyond, has identified the top three threats to restaurant safety: foodborne illness, workplace hazards and cyber risk. “Virtually every industry experienced disruption during the pandemic, but the restaurant industry faced an exponential level of adversity,” said Matt Mallory, CEO of Mallory Agency. “As restaurants continue their efforts to recover from the effects of the pandemic, it’s critical that their leadership pays attention to foodborne illness, workplace hazards and cyber risk in order to avoid additional issues.” Foodborne illness affects an estimated 48 million Americans every year and can cost restaurants millions of dollars in lost revenue, inspection costs and lawsuits – as well as customer business. Workplace hazards like burns, which are the one of the leading causes of occupational injuries in the restaurant industry, can have a significant negative impact on a restaurant’s bottom line when considering things like lost wages, medical care and legal representation. Cyber risk is a burgeoning issue for restaurant operators who are keen to adopt technological innovation. Point of sale (PoS) systems are especially vulnerable to data breaches by hackers, who can steal large volumes of information from a single system with minimal effort. “Mallory Agency is committed to over-delivering for our restaurant clients,” said Mallory. “We pride ourselves in understanding these threats inside and out so that we can better prepare our restaurant clients for risk and coverage.” ABOUT MALLORY AGENCY The Mallory Agency is a property and casualty insurance broker serving clients throughout the United States.
